Another alternative to long distance phone call is the use of online services like Skype. Skype is a sort of messenger service that allows you to call local numbers as well as international numbers. If you and your mate are connected through Skype, the calls are free. However, you will have to refill your Skype account online if you want to call a landline or a cellular number, local or international.
